Since joining Grimshaw in 1981, Neven has been responsible for 18 major completed projects, six of them international. He devotes the majority of his time to design and leads the London office internal design review process. He also lectures internationally and writes reviews for architectural magazines. He believes that architecture must address multiple social, technical and visual requirements simultaneously to be truly satisfying and to stand the test of time.

Neven has worked extensively in the infrastructure, commercial and education sectors. Most notably he led teams on the award winning Waterloo International Terminal and Bijlmer Station, Amsterdam’s Ijburg Bridge, the Lloyds TSB Headquarters and the St Botolphs Building in the City of London, Phase 2 of the Excel Exhibition Centre in Royal Victoria Dock, the giant Hall 3 at the Frankfurt Messe, plus the New Academic Building at the LSE, and the UCL Paul O’Gorman Cancer Institute both in London’s Bloomsbury district.
